Valpolicella becomes more welcoming: flexible lunch hours for wine lovers
IN THE RESTAURANTS ON THE VALPOLICELLA WINE ROUTE
A trend is emerging along the Valpolicella Wine Road that makes the experience even more enjoyable for visitors and enthusiasts: several local restaurants have decided to extend their lunch hours to accommodate those who, after a winery tour, often risk arriving late and no longer finding the kitchen open.
Wine tastings rarely follow strict schedules, and it’s not uncommon for guests to finish later than expectedoften risking the frustration of arriving at a restaurant just after the kitchen has closed. To address this, several local establishments are adapting their hours, offering a more relaxed and visitor-friendly dining experience.
Here are the participating restaurants, listed in alphabetical order:
- Bistrò del Borgo – Open from 12:00 with continuous service until the evening
- Locanda Case Vecie – Last seating for lunch is at 2:30 PM.
- Merci Beaucoup – Continuous service throughout the day until evening.
- Ristorante QuintoQuarto – On weekends, lunch service is extended until 2:00–2:30 PM.
- Trattoria Caprini – Kitchen open until 2:15 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Villa Allegri – Open daily from 12:00 to 2:30 PM, except Mondays (closed).
This thoughtful adjustment enhances the overall experience of Valpolicella, allowing guests to enjoy tastings without watching the clock and ensuring they can always find a welcoming table afterward.
A small change that reflects a broader commitment to hospitality—making Valpolicella an even more inviting destination for modern, experience-driven travelers.
