Discovering the Veronese territory

Pagus Wine Tours has devised a package including six nights at a hotel in the heart of Verona that allows you to discover the beautiful city, starting from the historic centre and arriving at the vineyards of Valpolicella, the hills of Soave, and the sunny shores of Lake Garda.

Details:

Day 1

In the morning arrival at the hotel in Verona, welcome and accommodation of guests. Free afternoon and dinner in a local osteria in Verona. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning meeting with an authorised tourist guide and departure for the private tour ‘Walk and taste Verona’, a walking tour to discover the heart of the city of Romeo and Juliet. You will visit the most famous squares and streets of Verona, such as Piazza Bra, Via Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori, Juliet's balcony and many other wonderful places. During the walk your guide will introduce you to the history of the city. He will describe churches, palaces, Roman remains and monuments that you will encounter along the way. Then, you will reach Pagus Store for an aperitif/tasting with local wines paired with cold meats and cheeses.
Free afternoon and evening in Verona.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel and at 9 a.m. meeting with the guide, pick-up and departure of the private tour ‘Lugana and Lake Garda’. Arrival in Sirmione, the pearl of Lake Garda, where a boat trip around the peninsula will await you to discover the main attractions of the place. Then, you will have free time to visit the village. Afterwards, you will reach a wine cellar in the Lugana DOC area, where you will taste the local wines and learn about the wine-making process. Visit and tasting will be followed by lunch in a local restaurant.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel, free evening and overnight stay.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel and, at 9 a.m., meeting with the guide, pick-up and departure of the private ‘Food and Wine in Valpolicella’ tour. Along the Valpolicella wine road, which offers splendid views of the vineyards, you will reach the Lessinia Natural Park where you will visit a producer of cured meats and cheeses who will offer you a tasting of the best products accompanied by a bottle of wine. You will then reach a trattoria in the heart of Valpolicella, where you will be served a typical lunch with traditional dishes paired with local wines. This will be followed by a visit and tasting of DOC and DOCG wines at a winery in Valpolicella.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel, free evening and overnight stay.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel and delivery of the VeronaCard, valid for 48 hours for visiting the city museums.
Morning and afternoon free to visit the monuments of the city.
At 6 pm, aperitif with view over the roofs of Verona on the terrace of a famous hotel.
Dinner at leisure, return to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning. In the afternoon departure for the private wine tour ‘A taste of Soave’, to discover the most famous white wine of the Veronese area. You will visit the enchanting medieval castle of Soave and the medieval village, and then move on to a winery in the Soave Classico production area. Here you will discover all the secrets of the production of this exceptional wine and taste its different facets.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel, free evening and overnight stay.

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
