In Castelrotto your concept bar

The Castrum Wine Bar & Bistrò is a new "concept bar" for the area, a project of a modern, professional and dynamic environment where you can breathe a metropolitan atmosphere combined with the intimacy of medieval furnishings and contemporary comfort.

From signature cocktails to signature cutting boards, from non-alcoholic aperitifs with fresh fruit to colorful tapas, from scented gin with Amarone della Valpolicella to Venetian spritzes, from sophisticated background music to live concerts, every choice is designed to make you live an experience exclusive.

The Castrum team has created for you an intriguing range of signature cocktails - FRACCAROLI SPECIAL COCKTAILS - inspired by the beauty and history of the place but above all by the mythological characters embodied in the works of the sculptor Fraccaroli, the true protagonists of the Castrum world.

We are a "widespread" Wine Relais because the spaces of the property are distributed between the central body of Villa Fraccaroli - with a panoramic terrace and internal rooms - the Winery with wines of our production and the Wine Bar with underground rooms and a large terrace in the village square of Castelrotto.

The position of the CASTRUM is extremely privileged because it is located on the top of the central hill of the valley and from its panoramic terrace of over 1,000 square meters you can embrace the entire Valpolicella Classica.

In winter or in case of bad weather, you can choose our two panoramic rooms in the central structure of the estate: they can be accessed from the terrace or from the reception, they are communicating with each other, extremely bright and with guaranteed high-speed wi-fi.

The Bistrò
Intimacy and exclusivity

At the Castrum Wine Bar & Bistrò you will find an intimate and original environment that offers several rooms suitable for events of about 10-30 people.

The restaurant is located in the Piazza di Castelrotto, in the heart of the medieval village, and was completely renovated in 2020 deriving it from the Villa Fraccaroli cellar where wine was once produced.

The large terrace is a terrace with a coquette character - a romantic and daring style at the same time - which you can also find in the 5 internal rooms where the original stone walls, typical of the area, have been recovered.

The venue often hosts themed evenings and concerts - both on the terrace and in the large Castello room - and is suitable for private events such as birthdays, anniversaries, anniversaries or business meetings.

Ancient and modern in harmony

In 1700 the icebox and cellar of Casa Fraccaroli, today these spaces are the heart of the Wine Bar: three beautiful stone rooms - all different from each other - two of which have been created from scratch from the walls of the house.

Castello room
Large, with an arched ceiling, surrounded by centuries-old stones. You recognize it immediately for its medieval character.
Ideal for both private and business events.

Obtained from the walls of Casa Fraccaroli, this room did not exist before the renovations.
Natural light in this basement space is an unexpected surprise.

Castrum winery
A jewel of elegance

In 1983 Paolo Borghetti built the current cellar and in 2021 his son Giampiero had it renovated in the name of art and elegance. The common thread of the sculptor Fraccaroli's works evoked in the drawings on the giant mosaics on the walls returns.

The wooden stage and the large tasting table make the cellar your original space for tastings, birthdays, anniversaries, family events or business meetings.
