THE VILLA ARVEDI OIL MILL
Giovanni Battista Antonio, owner of the Azienda Agricola Arvedi personally manages the family estate with its vines, olive trees, park and beautiful Italian garden. Together with his wife Tania and son Ottavio, he launches the exclusive collection of 500 elegant numbered 250ml bottles to collect and taste.
The first edition is dedicated to his father Ottavio Arvedi as a sign of love and gratitude for the person and entrepreneur who was able to transmit a sense of continuity and passion for the land.
The oil mill, with its tall brick chimney, is the heart of the estate, documented as early as 1200 as a residence owned by Mastino, Alberto and Cangrande della Scala.
The estate is described in 1432 as a “possessione con casa merlata con torcolo da vino e torcolo da olio”.
In 1519 the Allegri counts purchased the estate and built the Villa in the form in which it appears today. Since 1824 the entire property has belonged to the Arvedi family, which has kept the splendour of the Villa and the agricultural activity alive to this day.
Frantoio Villa Arvedi extra virgin olive oil is particularly prized for its low acidity level. It has a delicately fruity aroma and a fragrant, mild flavour. The Favarol, Leccino, Pendolino and Grignano cultivars, from the family's secular estate comprising more than 3000 trees, are cold pressed on site using a press and fiscoli procedure, a thousand-year-old extraction system based on the physical principle of pressure.
