Corte Odorico
THE PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX, DISCOVER AND ENJOY WINE TASTINGS
We are in San Pietro in Cariano, one of the five municipalities that together with Fumane, Sant'Ambrogio della Valpolicella, Marano and Negrar identify the original and oldest area of production of the Valpolicella appellation and which authorizes the use of the specification “classico.”
Corte Odorico is the story of a family linked to the land and wine, a legacy passed down from generation to generation. It all began in 1968, when Odorico Begalli became the owner of the vineyards he had tended for years as a sharecropper, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica.
His love for the vines was passed on to his son Daniele, who began working alongside him among the rows in the 1980s. In 1994, Daniele built the family farmhouse, laying the foundation for what would become, years later, the winery.
It was only in 2008 that the third generation brought a new vision: no longer just growing grapes, but making wine under the name Corte Odorico, to honor the family roots. Even today, the harvest is still a precious ritual: the best grapes are hand-picked by family members and left to dry for three months, enriching the aromas and flavors of our iconic wines-Amarone, Ripasso and Recioto.
In 2021, a space dedicated to hospitality was added, perfect for those who want to explore Valpolicella Classica: the “Verona” and “Monte Baldo” apartments are named after the landscape from the large windows.
