Aleardo Pigozzi, inherited the passion for wine from his father Guglielmo, after years of experience as a producer, in 2010 decided to fulfill his dream by purchasing some plots of land to use as a vineyard and thus founded the Monte Pogna Agricultural Company.

The family business is located in the municipality of Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella and Aleardo carries on the tradition with the help of his wife Sofia and their children Massimo and Caterina, who represent the third generation.

The vineyards are located in the Valpolicella Classica in the municipalities of Fumane and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella, have an extension of 7.5 hectares and rise entirely in a hilly area at an altitude between 600 and 650 meters.

At this altitude, the temperature range present between day and night, being very marked, allows for very fragrant and elegant wines. The cultivated vineyards have a plant density of 5000/6000 vines per hectare and are entirely Guyot and the soil is mainly calcareous / clayey. The vines are Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and other indigenous grapes in a small percentage.
